Matt is a photographer and trainee director based in London. After growing up in the north and beginning to shoot at 16 he began to develop his eye photographing portraits of those closest to him as they lived their formative teenage years.

At the age of 19 Matt moved to London to pursue a career in photography. After first working at BigSky Studios to learn the ropes, Matt worked for three years full time as photographic and archive assistant to David Bailey CBE. It was whilst with Bailey where Matt was able to grow his understanding of both the classic analogue fundamentals of photography as well as modern archival and retouching techniques.

 

Matt has freelance assisted photographers including Nick Knight & Mariano Vivanco. Currently he is working full time for Sølve Sundsbø.

Splitting his time between shooting his own projects and working as a lighting assistant Matt is still London based and travels regularly.
